Lanya Snyder Appointed Assistant Curator

Boca Raton Museum of Art

Irvin Lippman, the Executive Director of the Boca Raton Museum of Art announced that Lanya Snyder will assume the role of Assistant Curator. One of her priorities is working with the Museum’s growing photography collection and contemporary exhibition program.

Snyder studied at New York University before graduating from Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.

Since joining the Museum as a Curatorial Assistant, Snyder has been working to develop an annual photography forum from which, Snyder says, “the museum can introduce relevant contemporary artists to our audience in South Florida. Additionally, this forum will enable the Museum to expand our collection of nearly 1,500 significant historical and contemporary photographs.”

Snyder joins Kathy Goncharov, Curator of Contemporary Art, and Marisa J. Pascucci, Curator of Collections. Together they have organized an exciting exhibition schedule that will unfold over the next few years.

“Boca Raton is rapidly growing with an influx of visitors and residents. The Museum is in a great position to broaden our scope of exhibitions. I look forward to working with my colleagues to create a meaningful dialogue between the community and the global art world,” Snyder says.
