History of Murals in the Palm Beaches: From WPA – 21st Century
Thursday, Jan. 24 / 3:00–4:00 pm
Boca Raton Museum of Art

Koskoff’s passion for murals fuels her lecture on 20th century WPA artists, such as Charles Rosen, Joseph D. Myers, and James Edward Hamilton, who depicted a range of topics – the Barefoot Mailman, the Everglades, and heavenly cherubs – in Palm Beach County. Additionally, Ms. Koskoff investigates murals in the Museum’s collection created by Al Held and Jose Alvarez (D.O.P.A.).

This program is sponsored by the Florida Humanities Council with funds from the Florida Department State, Division of Cultural Affairs and the Florida Council on Arts and Culture.
