Marlene Strauss - Lee Krasner & Jackson Pollock, Partners in Art
Northern Trust, 3100 N Military Trail, Boca Raton
Lee Krasner's artistic career was often overshadowed by that of her husband, the reclusive and often volatile Jackson Pollock, one of the foremost American painters of the postwar period. Krasner, an ambitious and important abstract expressionist in her own right, had an indelible influence on Pollock’s career and his legacy.
Marlene Strauss lectures annually at The Metropolitan Museum and 92Y in New York, the 21st Century Club in Cleveland, and The Society of the Four Arts in Palm Beach. She has spoken at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C.; Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Art Institute of Chicago, French Embassy in New York; and many museums throughout the US.
