When Georgia O'Keeffe met Alfred Stieglitz in 1916, he was 53 and a famous photographer and gallerist, and she was 28 and unknown. Discover how the arc of their relationship -- from acquaintances, to lovers, to exasperated (but still together) long-marrieds -- and how Stiegtliz's art and his ideas about American art shaped O’Keeffe’s art.

Barbara Buhler Lynes is a preeminent scholar on the art and life of Georgia O'Keeffe. She is currently the Sunny Kaufman Senior Curator at the NSU Museum of Art in Fort Lauderdale. From 1999-2012, she served as the founding director of the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum Research Center and founding curator of the Georgia O'Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, where she curated or oversaw 30+ exhibitions.
