Learn the technique of defining form using light and dark. Gain skills in drawing with charcoal, contè, or soft pencils to achieve dense, dark, emotive drawings. Exercises include drawing from plaster casts under dramatic lighting. Drawing inspiration from masterworks in museums is a time honored tradition. Degas, Ingres, Delacroix, and Picasso each copied masterworks in the Louvre. Learn the fundamentals of drawing while finding inspiration in the Boca Raton Museum of Art galleries and sculpture garden.
