With a focus on the principles and elements of design, students will explore drawing and painting techniques. This will include, but is not limited to drawing from observation and color mixing. Students will learn how to use acrylic paint, color pencils, pastels, and much more as they utilize self-expression to create artwork.

Learn the basics of 1 and 2-point perspective. Explore drawing perspectives of still-lifes, interior spaces, and outdoor environments with buildings. Simple forms, architectural elements, and structures are introduced while learning how to draw using pencil and charcoal. Transform plain white fabric into vibrant, colorful works of art through a variety of surface design techniques such as innovative dyeing, creating stamps and stencils, and image transfers.
