In addition to discussing photographic processes that have encouraged photographers to experiment with new visual languages,ÿthis workshop primarily focuses on Palladium/ Platinumÿprinting,ÿchemical processes that have captivated fine artÿphotographersÿfor almost 200 years. The prints have aÿvastÿtonal range and a greatly decreasedÿsusceptibilityÿto deterioration compared to silver-based or inkjetÿprints. They areÿcommonly printed on 100% rag papers, and the process has been mainly appreciated for its aesthetic qualities, often characterized by soft, gray tonalities. As a result of the process, each print is totally unique. (Tuition includes a $50 materials fee and a light lunch).
