"What The Art School Means to Me..."

What The Art School means to our students:

By Ginny Kobren
“After retiring from teaching elementary school students for 35 years, I was looking for a new adventure.  May daughter-in-law had taken a photography class at the Art School and suggested I look through the catalog.  I signed up for Carla Golembe’s Friday drawing class and fell in love.  I enjoyed two terms of the drawing class where I learned and was nurtured along this new journey.  Carla asked if I would be interested in painting.  I joined her Thursday night painting class and have been coming each week for three hours for total enjoyment.  I have learned so much from Carla and my fellow students.  I have grown under the encouragement, nurturing and support of all.  What an adventure it has been!  I plan to continue here at the Art School forever!!!   Thank you for being here.”

“Ok.  I admit it.  I’m a snowbird.  The primary reason I look forward to coming back to South Florida every year is my class at the Museum School. (Not Golf, by the way) I live in NY & I have taken multiple courses at some of the finest institutions in the city.  There is nothing like the BRM School.  It is by far the best.  I could go on & on with list of office & staff efficiency, professionalism, building maintenance and cleanliness, etc., but I need to get back to class.  In a nut shell, I LOVE IT HERE!!”

“Art School feels like a mini vacation – a time just for me.  I look forward to it all week.”

“It is my heart and soul.  Best thing I ever did for myself.”

“I love art, I love this place - it rocks the art world.”

“I thought re-entering the art world would be a catharsis and renewal of my background and schooling.  To my surprise meeting Miles Laventhall has literally rocked my world and gave me incredible inspiration and knowledge!  I CAN’T GET ENOUGH!”

By Debbie Hite
“I realized later in life that I had a love and desire to live in the art world.  By being a part of the School, I’ve opened new doors and have surprised myself in what I’ve found within.  I’m comforted being here with exceptional teachers, (Miles & Kris), friendly staff and students.  I feel a part of the excitement that comes out of the surroundings and am encouraged to step outside my comfort zone to learn.  It makes me happy to create and my days here are the best part of my week.”

"The Boca Raton Museum Art School has been the most important influence on my art.  Thanks to Barbara Wasserman and Kris Smith, I have been accepted to Ringling College and feel prepared for the challenge.  They have both gone out of their way to help make the School atmosphere personal and friendly.  Everyone here is great making the experience positive and motivating.  This is an important step to my art career which will be personal and hopefully influential to many of all backgrounds and life experiences.  I have also received a scholarship here which helped me excel without causing financial burden at home.  This I am extremely thankful for."

What is a CVV Code?

CVV2 is a security measure for credit cards. Since a CVV2 number is listed on your credit card, but is not stored anywhere, the only way to know the correct CVV2 number for your credit card is to physically have possession of the card itself. All VISA, Discover, MasterCard and American Express cards made in America in the past 5 years or so have a CVV2 number. However Diners Club does not use a security code.

How to find your CVV2 number:
On a VISA, Discover or MasterCard, please turn your card over and look in the signature strip. You will find (either the entire 16-digit string of your card number, OR just the last 4 digits), followed by a space, followed by a 3-digit number. That 3-digit number is your CVV2 number.(See below)

VISA, Discover & MasterCard

On American Express Cards, the CVV2 number is a 4-digit number that appears above the end of your card number. (See below)
