Lesson Plans

Dear Educators,

The Museum's lesson plans have been written to assist classroom teachers in applying the Visual Arts across the curriculum. Each lesson focuses on an academic skill that correlates with the Sunshine State Standards.

One of the objectives of the Museum's Education Department is to expand the educator's ability to apply the Visual Arts to their curriculum by engaging school staff through workshops and guided tours. We strive to build students' self esteem by giving them the tools to view and discuss visual arts and thereby enhance their own self-expression. These lesson plans are intended to enlighten and inspire students, as well as familiarize them with the wonderful works of art that reflect the feelings and observations of numerous artists who have produced visual masterpieces.

It is the Museum's goal to have the students, teachers, parents and the community-at-large, use its vast collection of art works as an educational resource. While it is always worthwhile to visit the Museum, we believe it is equally valuable to bring the Museum into the classroom and are pleased to offer these outstanding lesson plans to you and your students.

Please feel free to download these plans and images from our website for use in your classrooms. Be sure to revisit our website often for additional lesson plans, images and educational materials.

What is a CVV Code?

CVV2 is a security measure for credit cards. Since a CVV2 number is listed on your credit card, but is not stored anywhere, the only way to know the correct CVV2 number for your credit card is to physically have possession of the card itself. All VISA, Discover, MasterCard and American Express cards made in America in the past 5 years or so have a CVV2 number. However Diners Club does not use a security code.

How to find your CVV2 number:
On a VISA, Discover or MasterCard, please turn your card over and look in the signature strip. You will find (either the entire 16-digit string of your card number, OR just the last 4 digits), followed by a space, followed by a 3-digit number. That 3-digit number is your CVV2 number.(See below)

VISA, Discover & MasterCard

On American Express Cards, the CVV2 number is a 4-digit number that appears above the end of your card number. (See below)
