Collectors' Forum Calendar of Events 2013-2014

Art Fair Day, Miami
Chair: Nickie Seigel, Honoray Chairs: Kathy Goncharov & Marisa Pascucci

The day will be an exuberant experience as we tour these world-famous Miami Art Fairs. This season the time-frame of the tour will be from late morning through the early evening in order to thoroughly explore and enjoy the expanse of both exhibitions. As we’ve learned from the past, most members enjoy exploring the fairs independently, therefore the day will be less structured, but no less accommodating and comfortable. A private VIP Lounge is ours for the day!

The Perez Art Museum Miami - PAMM
Chair: Peg Greenspon

PAMM is South Florida’s most recent debut to world-class art. Located in Downtown Miami’s Museum Park, PAMM is focused on collecting and exhibiting modern and contemporary art that represents Miami’s cultural diversity, while providing progressive educational and community programing. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron Architects of Basel, Switzerland, the cutting edge facility features sweeping views of Biscayne Bay and the spectacular Miami skyline. The featured exhibits to be visited include Ai Weiwei: According to What and Ameilia Pelaez: The Craft of Modernity. We look forward to introducing Collectors’ Forum members to PAMM. We will be among the first to enjoy this exciting new experience!

"The City Beautiful" Coral Gables
Co-Chairs: Marjorie Goldbaum & Susan Kaskel

The City of Coral Gables stands out as a rare pearl in South Florida, built as a comprehensive community in a grand Mediterranean Revival architectural style. Two notable examples are the Biltmore Hotel and Villa Viscaya. Our day includes a visit to a private collection of impactful contemporary art in nearby Coconut Grove, a walking tour of the Bird Road Art District’s galleries and artist studios plus a stop at the Lowe Art Museum.

"La Reverie" Palm Beach
Chair: Iris Weingarten

An exclusive grand ocean front estate, designed by Jeff Smith and Peter Marino that frames the works of Monet, Dubuffet, Magritte, Picasso and Chagall, as well as innumerable works of 20th Century Masters, will surely evoke awe.  This is a rare opportunity to visit one of the most extraordinary private estates in Palm Beach. A luncheon destination appropriate for the occasion will be announced at a later date.  Attendance will be limited at the request of the hostess.

What is a CVV Code?

CVV2 is a security measure for credit cards. Since a CVV2 number is listed on your credit card, but is not stored anywhere, the only way to know the correct CVV2 number for your credit card is to physically have possession of the card itself. All VISA, Discover, MasterCard and American Express cards made in America in the past 5 years or so have a CVV2 number. However Diners Club does not use a security code.

How to find your CVV2 number:
On a VISA, Discover or MasterCard, please turn your card over and look in the signature strip. You will find (either the entire 16-digit string of your card number, OR just the last 4 digits), followed by a space, followed by a 3-digit number. That 3-digit number is your CVV2 number.(See below)

VISA, Discover & MasterCard

On American Express Cards, the CVV2 number is a 4-digit number that appears above the end of your card number. (See below)
