Sotheby’s has been working with trust and estate property for 270 years, and we’ve learned a few things over the years, both in terms of how to manage collections for active collectors, as well as how to best handle collections when the fine art, furniture, decorative art and jewelry are transitioned in to an estate. It is our goal to provide both fiduciaries and private clients with the services and advice which best position them as caretakers of valuable property, and this talk will examine some of the specific ways collections can be managed, safeguarded, and perhaps even sold to achieve their greatest potential in the marketplace.
