Log Cabin Quilt
Log Cabin Quilt, Barn Raising Variation, Mary Jane Smith and Mary Morrell Smith, cotton, wool and silk, 74 x 81 inches, Collection of the American Folk Art Museum, New York. Gift of Mary D. Bromham, grandniece of Mary Jane Smith, 1987.9.1
The Story Behind Your Quilt
Saturday, October 6 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM

In conjunction with the exhibition, Politics NOT as Usual: Quilts with Something to Say, the Museum teams up with Jodie Davis and Quilt Alliance to video-document quilt treasures in South Florida's community.

Imagine the satisfaction of having a permanent record of a special quilt in your own words, and the fun you'll have viewing other quiltmakers' stories too. These short quilt-and-owner interviews comprise the Quilt Alliance's newest program for documenting and preserving the stories of quilts. Your story is unique, compelling, and important, and we want to share it with the world. Each video-taped story will be posted to the Alliance website and the Quilt Index online database.

Bring your most treasured quilt and that special story to share with quilt celebrity, Jodie Davis, from QNNtv.com. This is for EVERYONE who has a story about a quilt - whether you made it, received it as a gift, or bought it. It's the story that counts!

What is a CVV Code?

CVV2 is a security measure for credit cards. Since a CVV2 number is listed on your credit card, but is not stored anywhere, the only way to know the correct CVV2 number for your credit card is to physically have possession of the card itself. All VISA, Discover, MasterCard and American Express cards made in America in the past 5 years or so have a CVV2 number. However Diners Club does not use a security code.

How to find your CVV2 number:
On a VISA, Discover or MasterCard, please turn your card over and look in the signature strip. You will find (either the entire 16-digit string of your card number, OR just the last 4 digits), followed by a space, followed by a 3-digit number. That 3-digit number is your CVV2 number.(See below)

VISA, Discover & MasterCard

On American Express Cards, the CVV2 number is a 4-digit number that appears above the end of your card number. (See below)
